Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Art Garfunkel will perform at the Academy of Music in Northampton on June 19 at 8 p.m.
Garfunkel, who has overcome a vocal ailment that threatened to silence one of music’s finest voices, is promising an acoustic performance and intimate evening of songs, anecdotes, prose with an audience Q&A session.
Tickets, priced at $65 and $55, are available by calling (413) 584-9032, ext.105 or online at academyofmusictheatre.tix.com.
Garfunkel is no stranger to Western Massachusetts. He performed at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute in Williamstown in 2012 and sang with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra in 2004.
In 2010, a vocal ailment forced Garfunkel and former partner Paul Simon to call off a reunion tour, which had included a stop at Tanglewood in Lenox.
