Get ready to dance in the aisles at [email protected]’s 6th annual Mashup Concert! In preparation for the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, [email protected] will do an opening set of the music from the iconic Woodstock album, but in a very different context from hippies in the Catskills.
And for the first time ever, [email protected] is honored to share the stage with Jesus Pagan Y Su Orquesta, a fabulous 12-piece salsa band of the finest Latin musicians from Puerto Rico, New York, and New England, who will perform a second set of all original material. Jesus and some of his musicians will join in on [email protected]’s take of Woodstock while [email protected] will accompany Jesus and his orchestra on a few of their tunes in the second set.
Born in NYC to Puerto Rican parents, Jesus formed his band 10 years ago and has shared the stage with such Latin music legends as Cheo Feliciano, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Larry Harlow, Frankie Vazquez, Michael Stuart, Viti Ruiz, Herman Oliveras, and Tito Nieves, among others.
