Two hundred musicians from around the world are in Northampton this week for lessons and jamming at Django Camp, part of the city’s annual Django in June event.   Camp is five days of intensive guitar technique, and late night jams, and concerts embodying the compositions and unique rhythmic style of the French jazz guitarist Django Rheinhart.  The camp has nearly doubled in in size in its eleven years, and ‘campers’ come back year after year to play with and learn from some of France’s top jazz musicians, including  Latcho Drom’s Christophe Lartilleux and Olivier Kikteff from Les Doigts De L’Homme.
